Bonnie earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Accounting/Data Processing and her Masters of Professional Accountancy from the University of Southern Mississippi and has been a CPA since 1989. In addition, she earned her Juris Doctorate from Loyola University –New Orleans School of Law. She is licensed to practice law in Mississippi and Louisiana. She also teaches Advanced Business Law focusing on contract law for the University of Southern Mississippi.

Bonnie practices in the areas of employment, contract, and education law, with a focus on public finance, purchasing, construction and contracting issues. She has served as Mississippi Department of Education financial consultant for various Mississippi districts under Conservatorship. Bonnie also served as manager with the Office of the State Auditor who oversaw K-12 audits for the Education Division from December 2005 through 2010. She worked as an auditor from 1989 to 1991, then served as a Business Manager for Mississippi school districts for fifteen years until December 2005, when she returned to the Office of the State Auditor.

Bonnie is a member of the American, Mississippi State Bar Association, and Louisiana State Bar Association.

Bonnie and her husband Tim live in Ocean Springs, Mississippi, and have one child.
