Wilson joined Young Law Group in 2015 and resides in the firm’s Mississippi Gulf Coast Office.
His practice areas include representing public and private employers in OSHA and labor and employment law. Wilson’s representation of public employers includes working closely with staff and administration in Mississippi school districts in the areas of labor and employment law, student/employee discipline matters, and in special education matters. Wilson has experience in assisting schools in FMLA, Title VII, ADA, FLSA, Section 504, IDEA, bullying and personnel issues. He assists employers in developing employee handbooks, FMLA protocols, school violence prevention plans, and other policies and procedures.
Wilson is licensed to practice law in Mississippi and Tennessee and has been admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court and State and federal courts in Mississippi and Tennessee. Wilson regularly speaks at Mississippi school district conventions and other seminars and conducts training seminars on personnel and current law updates for clients.
Wilson is a member of the American, Tennessee and Mississippi State Bar Associations, and the Mississippi Council of School Board Attorneys. He is admitted in Mississippi and Tennessee Supreme Courts, US Court of Appeals for the Fifth and Sixth Circuits, and the US District Courts for Northern and Southern Districts of Mississippi and Western and Middle Districts of Tennessee.
Wilson is a Board Member of the Gulf Coast Center for Nonviolence, a non-profit dedicated to assisting victims of domestic violence, and a Board Member of the Rotary Club of Gulfport-Orange Grove.
Wilson lives in Gulfport and is the proud father of Elena and Will, who both attend Mississippi public schools.
